Child of God / Wife / Mother / Photographer
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
Beyond being a photographer I am a wife, a mother of 3 wonderful children, a lover of dark chocolate and I also love to travel! This year we sent our oldest child off to college for his 2nd year, our second child is a sophomore in high school and our baby is in 6th grade. I am happily married to one of the hardest working men alive. We have been together for over 17 years and we have supported each other both as individual entrepreneurs and of course as life partners; through the good, the bad and the ugly. I could not ask for a more supportive family and I am grateful for each and every one of them.
In 1993 I was captivated by my first “official” photography class and I fell in love. For the next 5 years I continued to further my knowledge of the arts and in 1998 I graduated from Kansas State University (Go CATS!) with a bachelor in Fine Arts, concentration in Graphic Design and Illustration. Soon after graduation I started my own Graphic Design business out of our home, as I was a mom of 2 and I wanted to work and say home with my babies. Little did I know it would grow as quickly as it did and a few short years later I opened my own store front graphic design and printing business in downtown Wamego. Photography started out as a hobby for me and aided me in my graphic design business for years.
In 2010 my husband, 3 children and I embarked on the adventure of relocating to Abilene when we bought an existing HVAC and Plumbing business. I closed the doors on my graphic design and printing business and focused on helping my husband with the “business” side of things in the HVAC and plumbing world. Without running my own business this freed up a ton of time, in which I was blessed to focus on what I truly love to do…. Photography.
Photography has always been a part of my life. I have been snapping photos as far back as I can remember. Capturing moments, capturing beauty, capturing life, capturing emotion, love, joy and silliness… it truly brings me so much joy. This past few years have been such a blessing, as the hobby has grown into a full time business. Who would have thought 20+ years later I’d have a business doing what I fell in love with so long ago?
I am blessed.
