I wish I had a great excuse for why these are just now making it to my website, but I don’t. This past fall was so busy and I definitely fell short on getting photos uploaded in this area. My goal is to get everything up to day this week 🙂

I was excited to try out a few ‘newer’ locations with the Elliott family. I’m always looking for a ‘newer’ place here in Abilene. We are blessed with so many beautiful places to take pictures, yet sometimes I get in a pattern of the same 1 or 2 and it’s nice to adventure into other locations 🙂 Thank you for the opportunity and your boys are so well behaved, what sweeties!! This fall we were blessed with many beautiful days and Megan had one of the most beautiful days of the season. I was blessed to meet Megan prior to her session as I had taken her big brothers wedding photos. This family is just precious. I am blessing by the opportunity to work for you and get to know you. I try not to get on a soapbox much on my photography page as I have a blog for that, yet what I do want to say is these images represent something so simple yet so hard to find anymore for our young adults. Life is stressful for these kids, growing up today in this crazy media world is much more complicated that we realize. To me these images represent inner freedom, forgetting the junk, the news, the hard stuff, the mean people, the rumors, the big decisions that come with that senior year and just being free in the moment.
I believe many of us should take time to have these free moments, unplugged, just pure joy and laughter… anyway… off soapbox 🙂 Enjoy Miss Mariah, as she is representing a freedom we all need more of.

18 years ago today I said “I do”. In celebration of the joy, love and strength that has been restored within me, and the love you’ve shown me through this amazing journey of marriage, I dedicate this to you, the Lord new exactly what kind of partner I needed. This 18 year old dress might not fit as well, it might be stained and torn a bit… nonetheless… it’s a celebration of a moment that changed my life forever for the better.
To my husband(Bill Barnes): You are an amazing blessing that I’ve been given, without you so much of my life would have never been restored… The Lord has blessed us. Thank you for being my support and partner in this life. I’ve enjoyed aging with you, growing in love, relationship and wisdom… you always make me feel loved and beautiful.
