A beautiful Kansas summer afternoon with sunflowers, burlap, barns and boots. Morgan and Lody are probably the most laid back couple I’ve ever met. No stress, just go with the flow and what a beautiful day it was. Morgan and Lody had their closest friends and family join them in an outdoor celebration at Sunny Side Pumpkin Patch in Assaria, KS. With hay bails for seats and wooden hearts to sign for the guest book, the details were just perfect for this young hardworking Kansas couple who we can now call Mr. & Mrs. Black. Congratulations to both of you. I wish you many many years of happiness. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your blessed day. Blessings.
I will be partial to this post as this is my daughter. Adventurer at heart and laughter is a must, she is brilliant and she is beautiful. We frequently travel to the Flint Hills as we have family within 5 miles of this spot. I’ve never taken photos up here other than nature photography, but this weekend, we made it happen. As we were down at the family farm visiting grandpa and grandma, I told Abby to throw in a dress and we’d just see what happens and if we can make time for it. I’m so glad we did. One of my biggest challenges as a photographer has been transitioning from nature photography to people photography and how do I blend them well. How do I make the land look beautiful and the person look beautiful. It’s a balance as one cannot overtake the other. She’s just beautiful and this place, well you can see. Blessings.
A day full of love, laughter, cowboy/girl boots and hats, ATV’s, the giant spur at the rodeo, an epic sunset, a breathtaking ceremony at Proscape and amazing dancing at the reception. Cali and Jeffery are the real deal, I was blown away by their generosity to each other, and compassion and love for one another and for their families. Calisa, You are Stunning! Jeffery, such a gentleman with that southern charm few hold tight to these days. What a beautiful couple, I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. Thank you so much for trusting me with your special day! Roll Tide!
It’s days like this I can’t believe I’m even paid to do this for a living. It’s not very often that I get to use rope, bullets, bows and antlers in a photo shoot. These two where so much fun. Their love is so evident. I’m beyond excite to shoot their wedding later on this fall. Katelyn & Thomas thank you for trusting me with capturing you love and laughter.
I don’t know that we could ask for a more perfect day for a photo shoot. It was such a typical Kansas spring late afternoon, clouds started moving in, a bit windy. The colors were gorgeous and the family was so much fun. I enjoyed spending the afternoon with you all capturing your families sweet smiles and pure joy and laughter. Thank you for trusting me with your photos.
