Miss Deztiny, 18 Months

I wish I could explain the depths of joy this little lady brings.  I often wonder what great things God has in store for her.  Miss Deztiny  is part of my extended family but she has a precious place in my heart. I am one of her many prayer warriors and I’m blessed to know her and her family.

Deztiny, no matter what life throws at you always know you are loved. Loved by family and friends but most importantly loved by a God that will never fail you, he is your strength and your calm.  Love you little ladybug! ❤  (( Jeremiah 29:11 ))

Braving the Cold

What an absolutely beautiful day for a photo shoot, NO I’M NOT KIDDING!  I know, it seems crazy to run out in 20 degree weather for pictures, but the air is crisp and the brilliant white is a beautiful contrasting background. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to get to know the young people in our community. Taylor, Colten (who came to help and by the way did a fantastic job and also jumped in a few shots with his big sis) and a sweet little puppy started my snow session week out and what a great time we had, even though it was pretty cold!! Thank you so much for letting me capture your life moments and enjoy some laughs with you! Well I’ve rambled enough, as you can see Miss Taylor knocked this session out of the park! Gorgeous! Enjoy!

Let it SNOW…. Please!!

I’ve been eagerly awaiting snow this winter as I have some clients holding out for the “Snow Session” experience. Well I am grateful that it finally came last night! First thing this morning I took my girls out to do some practice shots before the rest of the Snow Sessions quickly approach. Enjoy 🙂 Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Game Changer

Indoor photography has been something I’ve been less than excited about. My reasoning; unfamiliar territory, not enough practice, lighting, lack of education in lighting and just plan afraid of technology failing me.

About 4 months ago I made my first lighting purchase and decided since my business was growing I needed to grow my knowledge as well.  So I practiced and failed, and practiced some more and failed some more and slowly started understanding what I could do and what I wanted to do with the lighting.

There are so many different types of lighting effects. What did I want MY style to be like? Edgy, soft, natural? Well, I think I finally got it, and as most people know I’m more on the natural lighting bandwagon anyway so soft and sweet it is and last night I finally got it, I finally nailed the shot and I couldn’t be happier with my first official indoor session at my casa and how this sweet little guys pictures turned out. Persistence, practice and patience. Thank You Jesus! WE got it! Onward and upward friends!
