18 Years Later.

18 years ago today I said “I do”. In celebration of the joy, love and strength that has been restored within me, and the love you’ve shown me through this amazing journey of marriage, I dedicate this to you, the Lord new exactly what kind of partner I needed. This 18 year old dress might not fit as well, it might be stained and torn a bit… nonetheless… it’s a celebration of a moment that changed my life forever for the better.
To my husband(Bill Barnes): You are an amazing blessing that I’ve been given, without you so much of my life would have never been restored… The Lord has blessed us. Thank you for being my support and partner in this life. I’ve enjoyed aging with you, growing in love, relationship and wisdom… you always make me feel loved and beautiful.
I love you always…
Sincerely, Your Bride

Darius Senior 2017

What an amazing session. I loved the old feel of these photos and the way it seems as if he stepped out of a time warp. The emotion and mood of this session was so unique. I love trying new looks and new vantage points. Darius I hope your senior year is filled with blessings and good luck beyond! You will do great things!

Stacked Up Snowflakes!

I realize I am WAY behind on posting, but this actually was such a strange random day to get snow. It was last month and it randomly snowed these HUGE flakes and then 30 minutes later they were gone. So pretty. Excited I was able to capture them and the sunshine just barely grazing them. I’ve never seen stacks like this before. Enjoy

Blessings!

Boss Family – Kansas Photographer – Family Photographer

When I was contacted to photograph the Boss family I had no idea the surprise that was in store for me. I knew Kimmi’s sisters were from out of state and it was so very special to the family to have everyone together. Kimmi and I met about 4 years ago when I moved to the area. We were introduced through essential oils and I have gotten to know her through the oily connection. When I showed up on location to introduce myself, in walked Kimmi’s sister, a college acquaintance who I hadn’t seen in over 20 years! Ironically we took one of my first college photography classes together. How small is this world?! What a blessing to see her and all her family so many years later.

It was an absolutely beautiful day in late December. Two itty-bitty babies and children of all ages and so many girls! And don’t forget the kitty! Oh my goodness I should thank that cat for all the smiles he/she created! It really was a fun time. I am honored and blessed to capture your smiles. You have a beautiful family.

Thank you and blessings to you all.

A Very Merry Christmas to You! – Nature Photographer – Kansas Photographer – Family Photographer

A quick post this Christmas day to share just a few blessings from above on this wonderful day. God speaks in Nature ❤

This was the first Christmas I can recall in my 41 years in Kansas that thunderstorm watches were in effect and the temps were in the 50s. Though the wind blew and the rain came, at the end of the day, God shone through.

These photos were taken about 30 minutes before sunset. I had been inside all day, enjoying time with my family, opening gifts, playing ping pong, my hubby cooked an air fry turkey(you have to try it! AMAZING!) and just chillin’ with the fam…. I felt the need to get with nature late in the afternoon and took off in my pj’s, yes, I was in my pj’s ALL DAY… LOL. That’s just how we roll on a relaxing day at home on Christmas…. I digress…

Within 15 minutes of leaving the house the skies changed, drastically. It was absolutely breathtaking. What a blessing, truly a gift from God. If you notice the barn photo, the shadow casting on the barn is a cross, it lined up perfect, it was from a telephone pole from behind me, something that usually annoys me in my nature photos, not this time, definitely felt it was meant to be seen and left.

Anyway, enjoy and be blessed by God’s beauty. ❤

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy your family and friends.

Blessings…
