When I was contacted to photograph the Boss family I had no idea the surprise that was in store for me. I knew Kimmi’s sisters were from out of state and it was so very special to the family to have everyone together. Kimmi and I met about 4 years ago when I moved to the area. We were introduced through essential oils and I have gotten to know her through the oily connection. When I showed up on location to introduce myself, in walked Kimmi’s sister, a college acquaintance who I hadn’t seen in over 20 years! Ironically we took one of my first college photography classes together. How small is this world?! What a blessing to see her and all her family so many years later.
It was an absolutely beautiful day in late December. Two itty-bitty babies and children of all ages and so many girls! And don’t forget the kitty! Oh my goodness I should thank that cat for all the smiles he/she created! It really was a fun time. I am honored and blessed to capture your smiles. You have a beautiful family.
Thank you and blessings to you all.
What are the odds that we would be outside on Dec 26th for a beautiful family session right here in Kansas? As I type this message I believe we are anticipating quite a bit of ice/snow in the next few days. I digress…
What a beautiful day it was and we had quite a good time and lots of giggles and sunshine. I’ve known this family since I was an ornery teenager and I just love being around them. I’m blessed to know you and honored to do your photos. Thank you for the opportunity and blessings to you and yours! Wishing you an amazing 2017!
Just a simple video with a few of my favorite family images from this past year. Absolutely blessed beyond words. Thank you to each of you who have trusted me with your families. ❤
A quick post this Christmas day to share just a few blessings from above on this wonderful day. God speaks in Nature ❤
This was the first Christmas I can recall in my 41 years in Kansas that thunderstorm watches were in effect and the temps were in the 50s. Though the wind blew and the rain came, at the end of the day, God shone through.
These photos were taken about 30 minutes before sunset. I had been inside all day, enjoying time with my family, opening gifts, playing ping pong, my hubby cooked an air fry turkey(you have to try it! AMAZING!) and just chillin’ with the fam…. I felt the need to get with nature late in the afternoon and took off in my pj’s, yes, I was in my pj’s ALL DAY… LOL. That’s just how we roll on a relaxing day at home on Christmas…. I digress…
Within 15 minutes of leaving the house the skies changed, drastically. It was absolutely breathtaking. What a blessing, truly a gift from God. If you notice the barn photo, the shadow casting on the barn is a cross, it lined up perfect, it was from a telephone pole from behind me, something that usually annoys me in my nature photos, not this time, definitely felt it was meant to be seen and left.
Anyway, enjoy and be blessed by God’s beauty. ❤
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy your family and friends.
The Barnes Family (Yep I took our own family photo 🙂 Tripod and remote clicker! ❤ )
This sweet family I would consider to be my own. Though we may not be blood related, we none the less are family. This sweet mamma and I have been friends since we were 12. We graduated Middle School, High School, Junior College and College together and played all HS sports together as well, along with college softball. Not kidding, sames schools all the way through 🙂 I could talk to this girl for 3 minutes or 3 hours. We just have such a great friendship; respect and understanding, genuine honesty and love. I just can’t image getting through this crazy life without her. We have been through some unbelievably great times and some horribly difficult times. All in all we have supported each other through thick and thin and I love her and her sweet family dearly.
I was absolutely honored to take their family photos and I hope that I did them justice. They are a fun, energetic, and busy family that loves deep, not only their family but their friends, I am blessed to be one of them. Thank you for giving me this opportunity, I love you guys.
It was a beautiful evening at Old Abilene Town. These busy boys explored it all, from the Alamo Saloon to the old train tracks. I am quite certain that mom and dad stay pretty busy keeping up with these two. We had lots of giggles, silly faces and some kisses too and maybe a tiny tear 😉 . I truly enjoy capturing family’s lives at this time. It can be so exhausting sometimes being a parent of young ones, but soon they will be busy in school and worrying about girls!
Take life one moment at a time and enjoy 🙂
Meet the Elliott family. If you can’t sense the love between these two parents then your not looking close enough! These boys of theirs are super sweet, lots of giggles, tickles and silly faces. Life with little ones goes so fast. Enjoy these moments for they will be gone in a flash. Thank you for trusting me with your precious family.
Meet Thomas and Katelyn. These two, down to earth country loving people, are just about the sweetest couple I’ve ever met. Family is through and through with these two, they both have younger siblings they love too pieces and the closeness of the whole family was beyond evident. Just a few things that accented the day were, boots, shotgun shells, burlap, antlers and my favorite… laughter. It was a beautiful day for an intimate quaint wedding on a hillside in central Kansas. The love between these two was gleaming(see his first look below!) and a little side order of sass showed up too(Bride and groomsman shot!). Thomas and Katelyn, I wish you many many years of love, laughter and sassiness. You two truly are so very wonderful.
What a beautiful evening for a session at Eisenhower Rose Garden with this family. Oh the joys of little boys, so busy, busy, busy with big personalities and energy we all wish we could bottle and sell. Life with little ones can be exhausting but their sweet smiles and giggles can recharge a parent in a second.
Thank you for trusting me with your families precious smiles.
