18 Years Later.

18 years ago today I said “I do”. In celebration of the joy, love and strength that has been restored within me, and the love you’ve shown me through this amazing journey of marriage, I dedicate this to you, the Lord new exactly what kind of partner I needed. This 18 year old dress might not fit as well, it might be stained and torn a bit… nonetheless… it’s a celebration of a moment that changed my life forever for the better.
To my husband(Bill Barnes): You are an amazing blessing that I’ve been given, without you so much of my life would have never been restored… The Lord has blessed us. Thank you for being my support and partner in this life. I’ve enjoyed aging with you, growing in love, relationship and wisdom… you always make me feel loved and beautiful.
I love you always…
Sincerely, Your Bride

What is Content? – Mission Photographer – Kansas Photographer

This is some of the most life changing and meaningful work I’ve ever done. I usually do not cross post with my personal blog and my photo page, but I think it’s vital to understand the work and what experience I had on a personal level within my job. I am blessed, humbled and forever grateful for the opportunity to travel to Guatemala and share life with these children and this medical team.

Thank you and blessings!

Kellen and Brenna Turn 1!

We were blessed with a beautiful day in Lindsborg, KS. I met the twins and mom and dad at their beautiful home just outside of Lindsborg. We found some beautiful spots to capture these little cuties 1st Birthday! There’s a WHOLE LOT of personality in these little precious ones :). Mom and Dad, thank you so much for trusting me with your sweet babies 1 year old photos. Lots of smiles and giggles!!

Trenton – Abilene Senior 2017

Trenton had requested to have his photos taken on the land where he works and also at the ball field, two of his favorite places. The Kansas landscape made an amazing backdrop for this session, along with the baseball field, I would guess a passion definitely can be found¬†there. We made a few other random stops along the way in Abilene to find some unique¬†backdrops for his session. I’m excited to see what your future holds for you. Trenton is a very kind and polite young man, and thank you for letting me capture this special time in your life. Best wishes the rest of this year and beyond.

Blessings

Braedon – Abilene Senior 2017

I always love a challenge.

I met Braedon about a year ago during his family session. Braedon was quick to let me know he despised having his photo taken. I can completely relate. I was the same way when I was a kid. I hardly recognized him from a year prior, it amazes me how much a teenager can change in one year. I did my best to make Braedon feel comfortable and to help him see that this is documenting¬†a time in his life that will soon be gone. It’s capturing accomplishments and milestones and being able to look back someday and think about your experiences, your growth, your knowledge, your friends. Braedon you have a wonderful smile. Don’t hide it from the world, shine your light!

Blessings the rest of this year and beyond.

Cooper Senior 2017

What a gorgeous day in Mid-February!

What a fantastic smile and it’s easy to see what Cooper¬†is passionate about, his football and working at¬†the stables. Cooper will be heading to college next year to play football and I’m certain he will do great. Thank you for trusting me with your milestone. Good luck the rest of this year and beyond.

Blessings!

Stacked Up Snowflakes!

I realize I am WAY behind on posting, but this actually was such a strange random day to get snow. It was last month and it randomly snowed these HUGE flakes and then 30 minutes later they were gone. So pretty. Excited I was able to capture them and the sunshine just barely grazing them. I’ve never seen stacks like this before. Enjoy

A Very Merry Christmas to You! – Nature Photographer – Kansas Photographer – Family Photographer

A¬†quick post this Christmas day to share just a few¬†blessings from above on this wonderful day. God speaks in Nature ‚̧

This was the first Christmas I can recall in my 41 years in Kansas that thunderstorm watches were in effect and the temps were in the 50s. Though the wind blew and the rain came, at the end of the day, God shone through.

These photos were taken about 30 minutes before sunset. I had been inside all day, enjoying time with my family, opening gifts, playing ping pong, my hubby cooked an air fry turkey(you have to try it! AMAZING!) and just chillin’ with the fam…. I felt the need to get with nature late in the afternoon and took off in my pj’s, yes, I was in my pj’s ALL DAY… LOL. That’s just how we roll on a relaxing day at home on Christmas…. I digress…

Within 15 minutes of leaving the house the skies changed, drastically. It was absolutely breathtaking. What a blessing, truly a gift from God. If you notice the barn photo, the shadow casting on the barn is a cross, it lined up perfect, it was from a telephone pole from behind me, something that usually annoys me in my nature photos, not this time, definitely felt it was meant to be seen and left.

Anyway, enjoy and be blessed by God’s beauty. ‚̧

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy your family and friends.

Blessings…
